Britney Spears’ earnings over the past year reached $58 million, making her the number 1 in Forbes’ Top Earning Women in Music list for 2012. Taylor Swift landed second, Rihanna as third, followed by Lady Gaga and Katy Perry for the fourth and fifth, respectively.
According to a post at Forbes.com this Wednesday, December 12, 2012, Britney Spears’ seventh studio album Femme Fatale, which was released on March 25, 2011, was certified platinum in the U.S. the said album and the Femme Fatale Tour, and other endorsements were a big factor for her big earnings.
